READY READING PLUS is designed as a supplement to, and extension of, the Ready Reading book.  The goal is to provide more decodable words for the older student who has not had phonics and needs to practice letter sounds and the blending process.  Teachers have found that using these lessons greatly aids spelling ability. 

Additional, more challenging, words are included for Lessons 1 to 66 so that students who are more mature are able to increase their knowledge of vocabulary meaning. 

 READY READING PLUS continues the blending process with groups of words having common phonic elements.  There are also lessons using groups of words with the same silent letters.
